Happy Easter!!!!

We had a great Easter and hope everyone had a great day, too. Great-Great Grandma (as Bella calls her) and George came in for the weekend and we had lots of fun. Steph, Eric, Josh, Tiffany, Grandpa, and Grandma Joyce all came over and we BBQ'd and made a very big mess with cascarones. Here are a couple of pictures of today.

Witte Museum Field Trip

Bella had one of her field trips to the Witte Museum with her school today. The kids were so excited and thought it was a real treat just to get on the bus. They spent the morning exploring how we deal with dangerous weather, looking at how people used to live in log cabins and decided they do not ever want to live like that, it was really funny. They got to see dinosaur bones bigger than them, how we use water for electricity, and they got to see a real mummy that they thought was going to come out of the glass and go to their school with them. Bella said she had a great time and can't wait to go back.

Sunday with the Cousins

So we had the cousins over for a BBQ and to start on paper mache eggs to hang. They had a blast making a mess and couldn't believe we were allowing them to get so messy. As their eggs were drying they baked cookies and decorated them. Josh and Tiffany had to go home and get ready for school tomorrow and Bella couldn't wait for them to decorate her egg so she started on hers without them. Bella's Photo Shoot

Bella had her photo shoot yesterday and we just received the pictures via email from the photographer, Gwen Sawyer (Be True Photography). Her and her husband, Rob, do such an amazing job. I absolutely recommend them to everyone. We have never been disappointed. Here a few of the pics. The bunny is real and Bella did not want to let him go. Let me add, Isabella looks all nice and springy in the picture and the weather yesterday morning was rainy and about 45 degrees. We were running her to and from the car so she wouldn't be wet and cold. It did not seem to phase her. But I thought it was a little funny. Anyway, here they are. Enjoy!!

Picnic with Cousins

Bella's cousins, Josh and Tiffany came over today and could not wait to play outside. The weather has been so cold and rainy we decided to have a picnic too. Here are a couple of cute pics of them enjoying our beautiful weather.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa - Happy Birthday, Veronica!

Today was Grandpa's 70th and Veronica's 30th birthday. Bella and I woke up and baked them carrot cake's for their birthday's. She put the cookies on and couldn't wait to eat some and apparently did as soon as she got to grandpa's . Here are pictures of the cakes and the birthday girl and boy. Happy Birthday to both of you. The Ant and the Elephant

Isabella, Tiffany, and I went to see the musical, The Ant and the Elephant. The girls had a very good time and learned that small animals (people) can help big animals (people) and big animals(people) can always ask for help. We could not take pictures during the show so here are the girls putting on their princess smiles before the show.

Trip to Austin!!!

Bella and I ran away to Austin for the weekend to visit Veronica, Louie, and Mateo(like Fideo-as Bella says). She was so excited and very upset on the way because mommy had to turn back to pick up some work equipment but we finally made it on our way. We went to the mall where they got to play at the playground and both got new tennis shoes. Then we went to watch Louie play dodgeball where the kids had a blast. We came back to have a slumber party and we are waiting for Louie to cook our breakfast right now.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

For Valentine's weekend Bella, Calloway, and Grandpa left on another fishing trip Thursday. Bella, of course, had a blast with Dad and Grandpa and did not want to come home. Before they left on their trip Bella went with daddy to Academy and saw the same "seafoam green" shirt he has and said she wanted to be just like daddy. Here are some pictures of the look-a-likes.

So I get home from work today and Bella had a new haircut. I asked her who cut her hair and she said "My daddy, doesn't it look cute! I look like Abby". Abby is a friend of hers with a cute little short cut. Anyway, when I asked him why he cut it he said because it was to tangled and he couldn't brush it. I had an OMG moment! Then he described to me how he angled the front and cut it straight in the back. Now laugh, because I sure did. So here are some pics before she goes to bed of her new cut. She loves it so that is all that matters. (Could we act anymore sassy taking the pictures)
